The Run the Vineyards - Cork High & Bottle Deep is a 13.1-mile half marathon held at Blue Cork Winery. It starts at 8:30 AM and has a field limit of approximately 450 runners. This is the seventh year for the event, which maintains a local feel with race announcements starting just before the gun, police-controlled roads, and aid stations positioned roughly every two miles. The course is predominantly paved and flat, includes a 10K split, and has a 3.5-hour time limit, requiring participants to finish by noon.
The route begins and ends at the vineyard, with a short section on winery grounds before proceeding onto adjacent roads. This event is suited for those seeking a genuine half marathon experience away from a large-city environment. Awards are presented to the top overall male and female finishers, as well as the leading runners in 10-year age categories. Strollers are permitted. The post-race activities embrace the winery setting, offering a complimentary glass of wine to all finishers, commemorative wine glasses, finisher medals, downloadable photos, food trucks, massage services, and live music. The Headstrong Foundation is the designated charity partner.
