RUNorwalk 2026

RUNorwalk begins in the Warrior Stadium parking lot at Norwalk High School on Wright Road in Norwalk, Iowa, held in October. Participants can choose a 5K run or walk, a 10K run, a 2-mile walk, or a kids' fun run, accommodating both serious racers and families. Chip timing is provided, with cash and other prizes awarded for the 5K run only. Packets can be picked up at Norwalk Area Chamber locations, and race-day pickup and registration are also options. The 5K and 10K follow established routes originating from the high school area, with results available online post-race. Children aged 8 and under may participate in a complimentary fun run following the main events without prior registration. Leashed dogs are permitted for runners, though bicycles are prohibited. The race proceeds regardless of weather conditions, and participants are encouraged to donate canned or non-perishable food items to the Norwalk Food Pantry.
