TPA's 5K on the Runway 2027

TPA's 5K on the Runway is an annual 5K held at Tampa International Airport, where runners use Runway 10-28 instead of a typical road course. The race is back for its 12th year and limits participants to 2,000, so registration fills quickly; the prior event sold out in approximately 13 hours. The appeal is straightforward: participants run on an active airport runway with aircraft taking off and landing nearby. The entry fee covers a commemorative T-shirt, a finisher's medal, and breakfast from Waypointe TPA restaurants post-race.
