White Pine Thaw Marathon Relay 2027

The White Pine Thaw Marathon Relay begins in Comstock Park, Michigan, at the southern end of the Fred Meijer White Pine Trail. It takes place annually on the second Sunday in March. Teams of runners divide a marathon into two 13.1-mile segments. A solo full marathon is also available for those preferring to run the entire distance alone. The course proceeds north on the White Pine Trail to Russel Road before returning south to the finish in Comstock Park. This is a functional early-spring trail race. The path is regularly cleared by Friends of the White Pine Trail, features minimal low-traffic road crossings, and provides parking and restrooms approximately every four miles. While the relay format emphasizes teamwork, the course still offers each participant a complete half marathon.
