Winter Wild Thangs Trail Series 2026

The Winter Wild Thangs Trail Series is a three-race winter trail event held at Monte Sano State Park in Huntsville, Alabama. The series includes Frozen Yeti, Frozen Trash Panda, and Frozen Goat races. Options for distance vary by race: Frozen Yeti offers 5 miles or 10 miles; Frozen Trash Panda offers 10K or half marathon; and Frozen Goat offers 4 miles, 15K, or 30K. The trails traverse Monte Sano’s rocky mountain terrain, featuring bluff views, creek crossings, and waterfalls. Runners may register for short-series or long-series bundles, with the full series bundle limited to 250 participants. Aid stations will provide water, Gatorade, cola, gels, pretzels, candy, and granola bars. Series participants receive a short-sleeve tri-blend shirt and finisher awards. Age group awards range from 0-9 to 70+.
