The Seekarspitz Vertical is the short, steep Friday race within the Obertauern Trailrun Summit, a July trail-running weekend in Obertauern in the Salzburg Alps. The event is set in a high-alpine summit arena above 1,700 meters and offers seven races, from the 4.6 km Seekarspitz Vertical to ultra, marathon, half marathon, short, easy, and family routes.
The OTS courses combine runnable mountain trails with technical sections, steep climbs and descents, and wide 360-degree views from the surrounding peaks. The hardest ultra includes light scrambling, while the Easy Trail, Short Trail, Vertical, and untimed Family Trail provide younger runners, parents, grandparents, club runners, and mountain specialists different ways into the same weekend.
