Veldener Casinolauf

The Veldener Casinolauf begins and ends at Casinoplatz in Velden am Wörther See, a lakeside resort in Carinthia, southern Austria. The race takes place annually on Austria's national day, featuring a 6.5 km main run, shorter children's races, and options for various ages and abilities. The main race consists of five laps covering 1.3 km through Velden's town center and along the Wörthersee promenade, meaning runners pass the central race area multiple times. The event attracts recreational runners, competitive club athletes, children, teams, and onlookers, with its casino-square start providing a distinct local Velden character. This year marks the event's 20th edition, establishing it as a long-standing fixture.
