Zirler Marktlauf

The Zirler Marktlauf is a Saturday evening running event held in the center of Zirl, Austria, with racing taking place around the new B4 event center. The primary offering is a 6 km race for adults and youth. The route features a hilly profile, with runners ascending and descending approximately 94 meters. SKI TRI Zirl organizes the event, now in its 10th edition, which commences with children's races preceding the main event. The course consists of a 2 km circuit, meaning the 6 km race involves three laps through Zirl rather than a single point-to-point route. This anniversary edition introduces a team competition designed for groups like school classes, kindergarten groups, clubs, and companies, offering distinct awards for the top youth and main-race teams. This structure imbues the Marktlauf with a local, community-focused atmosphere, accommodating young runners, families, club athletes, workplace teams, and regular adult participants within a single evening's program.
