The Canberra Times Fun Run is a Sunday morning race program based at Rond Terrace in Parkes, Canberra, featuring a half marathon, 10K, 5K, and Kids Dash. The Runner’s World Half Marathon begins at 6:30 am, followed by the 10K at 8:25 am. The 5K starts at King George Terrace at 9:30 am, and the Kids Dash commences at 10:15 am. Bib collection and the event village are also available on Saturday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm for those wishing to prepare before race morning.
The course is fast and flat, with AIMS-certified routes passing Canberra landmarks such as Old Parliament House and New Parliament House. Over 5,000 runners are anticipated, ranging from beginners in the shorter races to participants aiming for a personal best with pacers in the half marathon and 10K. The 5K has a distinct start area, with shuttle service connecting it to the finish. The event village offers food, coffee, live entertainment, merchandise, a cheer-sign station, a recovery zone, and a PB Bell for post-race celebrations.
