Centenary Pool in Spring Hill gives the Brisbane Road Runners: Splash & Dash a different feel from the usual club morning. It is the season finale, and the hook is simple but fun: a "Splash & Dash event" that mixes running with swimming instead of asking you to just pin on a number and run hard.
Expect a friendly adult field rather than a high-pressure start line, with the format suiting a range of abilities. The "unique race" part is the switch between run legs and pool time, which makes it feel more like a club challenge than a standard road race, and a neat way to finish the season with people who do both disciplines or are willing to have a go.
