Club Bargara Lighthouse Run 2026

The "iconic Burnett Heads Lighthouse" provides the foundation for the Club Bargara Lighthouse Run 2026, established from a fondness for both the old and new lighthouses. The course then follows the coast, guiding runners along the "stunning Bargara oceanfront" and the Turtle Trail, passing the Surf Lifesaving Club and Nielson Beach before arriving at Mon Repos Turtle Reserve, "home of the famous nesting turtles." Underfoot, the course combines coastal paths with sections through Barolin Nature Reserve for the trail option. Starts and finishes are located along these paths, with the race base at Christsen Park. The event accommodates serious endurance runners, run-walkers, and children participating in the Junior Dash, aiming for a local running morning feel rather than a formal expo. The lighthouse theme serves as the unifying element, fostering "community spirit, and endurance."
