The Mildura Riverfront Marathon Festival utilizes a "spectacularly flat out-and-back course" alongside the "mighty River Murray." This is the third year for the event, offering a practical, runner-focused atmosphere rather than a showy one, with flat paths, river views, and participants from elite runners aiming for personal bests to casual joggers and walkers. The course follows parts of the Mildura Weir parkrun trail, described as "well-maintained, shady, sandy paths." Longer distances extend past Apex Park. Runners can anticipate "stunning riverfront views" and "peaceful riverside scenery throughout." There are only slight inclines, but the narrower sections require passing etiquette. Starting and finishing at the Powerhouse Precinct simplifies logistics, consolidating all activity in one riverside location.
