2024 Race 6 - Deep Blue - 6km at Stingray Bay

Stingray Bay defines this Warrnambool Running Club race: the beach edge, Lake Pertobe close by, and the Thunder Point trails providing the challenge. It functions as a practical club handicap, not a display event, with "Deep Blue" listed and "handicap wave starts" initiating the pursuit from the outset. The course begins at the wooden fence on Stingray Bay Beach, crosses the footbridge, and proceeds onto trails towards Thunder Point. Participants will encounter the TP carpark intersection, the green loop to marker 7, blue loop, purple loop choices, then Thunder Point Road and the trail leading to the lookout before turning back. The difficulty increases near the end: a descent via stairs close to the finish, then returning to the wooden fence.
