SAUCONY Vokolo priglu is a 14.1 km running race that completes a loop around the Brno Reservoir, known locally as the “Brno Sea.” This yearly event is based at Kozí Horka, utilizing the same area for the start, finish, and race village. Participants can compete individually, as part of a relay, in corporate teams, or as a four-person team, accommodating more than just fast club runners.
The route is primarily road, consisting of about 85% asphalt and the remainder on other surfaces surrounding the water. The field includes the general public across ages and ability levels. Brno’s universities contribute a unique element through an academic wave featuring runners from Masaryk University, Brno University of Technology, and the University of Defence. However, runners have also appeared in matching jerseys, with both students and staff participating in this group. The race holds a long tradition, sees growing participation, and was recognized as the third best running race in the Czech Republic by the Czech Athletics Federation.
