Country Cross begins and ends within Waldstadion Syke. Runners depart the stadium for rougher terrain in the surrounding area. The event features a 1.3 km children's race for U10 to U12 participants, a 5.5 km race for U14 and older, and a half marathon for adults and older juniors.
The half marathon covers approximately 21.1 km on an unmeasured course, largely utilizing unpaved field, forest, and meadow paths. About 4 km are on paved service roads, with the final nearly 2 km returning along the track to the stadium finish. The 5.5 km route follows forest paths, with only about 100 m of asphalt before reaching Waldstadion Syke. Showers and changing rooms are provided at the venue.
