The Forsbach Tour, organized by Rtc Köln e.V., is a road cycling RTF that begins and ends at Schulzentrum Zündorf on Heerstraße in Köln-Zündorf. Participants can select from five distances: 51, 78, 118, 159, or 212 km. The shortest route includes approximately 480 meters of climbing, and the 212 km route features around 3,000 meters of elevation gain, indicating it is a challenging ride. Departures are staggered throughout the morning, with the longest route starting first. The finish control closes at 18:00.
The routes are managed in a typical club-riding manner, with GPX files and Komoot links supplied. Riders are advised to download tracks close to the event date due to potential route adjustments. The 51, 78, and 118 km routes are marked, while the 159 km and longer routes have signs only at potentially confusing junctions, making navigation more critical for extended distances. The event commences with a brief breakfast period before the initial departures. The organizer provides some additional benefits, such as gift-filled drawstring bags (subject to availability) and a lottery for those who register online early.
