The Frankfurter Mainova Halbmarathon begins at Deutsche Bank Park, covering 21.1 km before concluding inside the stadium. This race takes place in Frankfurt am Main, the largest city in Hesse, and has been held annually since 2003. Spiridon Frankfurt e.V., a local club focused on running, marathon, and triathlon, is the organizer. With approximately 6,000 participants in a typical year and over 10,000 finishers in its record edition, it ranks among Germany's larger half marathons. The event has a 2 hour 45 minute time limit, suitable for both novice half marathoners and faster club runners.
The course is flat and winds through the city, making it a popular choice for runners aiming for a personal best or using it as a fitness check before a spring marathon. Its stadium start and indoor finish lend a distinct football-ground atmosphere, with participants assembling outside Deutsche Bank Park before returning to the arena for the finish line. The race is included in the Rosbacher Main-Lauf-Cup. It has also served as the venue for the German Half Marathon Championship, attracting exceptionally strong competition at the elite level and yielding fast results in age groups. Esther Pfeiffer established the women's course record of 1:10:39 during a championship year and secured the German title at the same event.
