Martinslauf is a St. Martin-themed running event in Germany, featuring races like the SFD '75 run around Unterbacher See in Düsseldorf and the Martinslauf Sindorf. It functions as a local running festival, not a single-distance race: Sindorf offers 5 km, 10 km, and a Bambini run, while the SFD event includes youth races over two kilometers and Bambini races over 700 meters. The Unterbacher See race attracts a large community field, with one edition seeing over 2,600 participants. The St. Martin connection is evident on race day with St. Martin on horseback and Weckmänner, the sweet bread rolls associated with the holiday.
