The Oberrieder Tote-Mann-Berglauf is a Black Forest mountain race starting in Oberried and ascending toward the meadows below the Tote Mann. The primary race begins in the morning, welcoming U18 runners and above. It covers approximately 10.9 km with 750 meters of elevation gain. Younger participants have their own shorter races later in the morning, ranging from 0.4 to 1.2 km, primarily flat and held on roads near the Goldberghalle and an adjacent farm.
The main course follows forest and service roads, incorporating some forest paths and trails following a route adjustment. Participants conclude near the Stollenbacher Hütte, with bus transport available back to Oberried. The Goldberghalle serves as the central point for registration, changing facilities, refreshments, and awards, establishing a clear village center for the event. The race is part of the Schwarzwald-Berglaufpokal series, and PTSV Jahn Freiburg aids in preparation with training runs, including one on the original Tote Mann course.
