Pace Race Nürnberg uses the Norisring, a city-center motor-racing circuit next to the Zeppelinfeld in Nuremberg. The event takes place on German Unity Day as a social race: all participants start together, then complete 1,000-meter laps as the time limit progressively shortens. It accommodates a range of abilities, from novice runners to those seeking a challenging end-of-season test, transforming the day into a contest against the clock rather than a standard endurance run.
The course is a level, paved circuit on Germany's sole race track within a city, known as Franconian Monaco and typically associated with DTM racing. The PACE RACE Arena is situated on the Norisring finish straight, featuring a roped-off path, a pit-lane atmosphere, and a central cheering area for spectators to see runners repeatedly. The expansive Zeppelinfeld provides space for quick laps, and public transport links via Nürnberg Frankenstadion station or the Doku-Zentrum tram stop simplify travel.
