Σχετικά με τον αγώνα
PTSD Løbet Aalborg is a charity race held at Aalborg Kaserne in northern Denmark, offering terrain routes for running, walking, or cycling. The event includes a 1.2 km Familiefræs for families, alongside 5.3 km, quarter marathon, 15.9 km, and half marathon distances. Walking and running options are available for the main distances. Mountain bike routes are also set in Hvorup, and a virtual participation option exists for those unable to attend in person. All distances share a single entry price, with spectator tickets, snacks, and merchandise providing additional support for the cause.
The race collects funds for Landsforeningen for PTSD-ramte og pårørende, the Danish national association supporting individuals with PTSD and their families. Its slogan is “Make the invisible visible.” The event highlights groups frequently exposed to trauma, such as prison guards, military personnel, police officers, rescue workers, firefighters, mental health staff, and others with traumatic experiences. The concept originated in Aalborg with Bo Trige and Jonas Rosenvinge from Aalborg Arrest, subsequently extending to other Danish garrison towns like Holstebro and Slagelse. The entire profit benefits the PTSD association, emphasizing participation and fundraising over speed.
