The Ørestad Half Marathon is a new professional half marathon in Copenhagen. It starts and finishes at Naturcenter Amager on Kalvebod Fælled. This autumn race offers metro access and covers the full 21.0975 km distance. The course is AIMS-certified and measured according to World Athletics guidelines.
The route consists entirely of asphalt and is flat, designed for speed. Organizers intend for it to be one of the fastest half marathon courses globally. Runners will experience the open nature of Kalvebod Fælled alongside the city's edge. Route files for GPS watches are provided. The field features strong Danish runners, including Sylvia Kiberenge with a best of 1:10:42 and Christian Okkels with a best of 1:04:28.
