The Half Triathlon Pamplona-Iruña begins at the Alloz Reservoir and concludes in central Pamplona. This middle-distance triathlon in Navarra, typically held in May, features a 1,900-meter swim, an 85-kilometer bike course, and a 21-kilometer run. Established in 2015, the event also provides aquabike and mixed relay categories for those not competing in the full triathlon.
The race commences at Camping Aritzaleku near the reservoir. Cyclists depart from Alloz towards Pamplona, followed by a half-marathon run with Plaza del Castillo serving as the central point in the city. Organizers characterize the course as fast and demanding, and it has previously sold out. Trikideak and Trikua Kirol Elkartea are the organizers, with assistance from Pamplona City Council, the Government of Navarra, volunteers, triathlon officials, and local police. The event encourages participants to explore Pamplona-Iruña and experience the region's gastronomy and culture.
