The Milla Vertical Puigllançada and Vertical Coll de Pal are uphill mountain races starting in Bagà, Catalonia. Participants select a finish at Coll de Pal or the more demanding ascent to the Puigllançada summit. The Coll de Pal course measures approximately 11.5 km, and the Puigllançada route extends to about 12.5 km with around 1,600 m of elevation gain, marking it as a challenging trail race rather than a quick road competition.
These courses predominantly follow paths and trails, incorporating only minor asphalt stretches near the beginning or at transition points. Coll de Pal serves as a strategic juncture: competitors in either race may conclude their run there for the Vertical classification, or proceed higher for the Milla Vertical finish. The event welcomes participants of all categories, genders, and nationalities. Runners are required to carry their own drinking vessel; support is available mid-race, with an additional station at Coll de Pal for those continuing to Puigllançada.
