The 10 km de Chambéry is a road race taking place in central Chambéry each June, starting at 9:00 AM. This is a flat 10K, featuring only 25 meters of elevation gain, making it suitable for runners aiming for a fast time and those new to the distance. The event's core concept is encouraging city-wide participation, bringing together elites, amateurs, beginners, families, company teams, and local runners at the same starting point.
The course begins on the Grande Avenue d'Alsace-Lorraine, crossing the city center on entirely paved roads without technical sections or difficult ascents. Participants will pass the "four elephants" of the Fontaine de Boigne, proceed through Parc de Buisson Rond, and enter the Chambéry Savoie Stadium, where the finish line is located within the stadium. Post-race activities are held at the stadium, contributing to a city-wide sports festival atmosphere rather than just a timed event.
