The 7 km at Le Havre Urban Trail is a short walk/run in Le Havre, Normandy, held in late May. It is part of a larger urban trail weekend in a UNESCO World Heritage city, featuring a marathon, half marathon, 12 km race, children's races, and a mystery climbing race. This event is presented as Normandy's largest trail event, and the 7 km offers a less demanding option for participants not choosing the stair-intensive longer races.
The LHUT routes utilize Le Havre as the course: modernist concrete architecture, the seafront, the container city, the Hanging Gardens, and Montgeon castle are included in the longer routes. The marathon has 1,200 metres of climbing and 4,600 steps; the half marathon includes 500 metres of climbing and 2,000 steps. The 12 km focuses on local heritage, while the 7 km is suitable for walkers, new runners, and those wanting to enjoy the atmosphere. Volunteers manage route marshalling and runner support, and the finish-area village provides concerts, food trucks, a refreshment stand, and vendor booths.
