The Centurion Running South Downs Way 100 is a 100-mile non-stop foot race along the full South Downs Way National Trail in southern England. It begins just outside Winchester, the old Saxon capital, and directs runners east along the trail to Eastbourne. The race is run as a long trail ultra, not a road event, with entrants needing to be at least 20 years old and places in high demand once the field fills.
The route follows the chalk ridgeway of the South Downs, using the high ground above the Weald, the coast, and the English Channel. Runners pass rolling hills, ancient forts, villages, and long open views before the trail finishes at Eastbourne. Centurion supports the field with 12 stocked aid stations, and the event is part of the Gran Canaria World Trail Majors Series, giving this English point-to-point race an international context.
