The Due North Malham Half Marathon and 10K are trail races in the Yorkshire Dales. The half marathon is considered possibly the toughest trail half marathon in the UK. The Malham course includes approximately 900m of ascent, featuring three steep climbs, rapid descents, mud, and open views across the Wharfedale valley.
The route is fully waymarked, and the organizers set generous cut-offs, allowing newer trail runners to participate while still providing a challenging day for stronger runners. Water stops offer refreshments, but participants must carry their own cup or bottle, a waterproof jacket with a hood, and a mobile phone with a location app. Finishers receive food, drink, and a Due North gift bag. Prizes are awarded to the top three men and women, and to winners in the V40, V50, and V60 age categories.
