The 10th anniversary Denby Dash is a 5.6-mile (9km) race with 700ft of total ascent. The undulating course follows footpaths through fields, woodland, conservation land, and the historic Quaker Village at High Flatts. The route is well-marked and marshalled, suitable for all runners aged 16 and over. All finishers receive homemade flapjack. Prizes are awarded for all age categories and best fancy dress. A trophy is given to the first local male and female finishers. Junior races for children of all ages are also offered. The event takes place on Bank Holiday Monday, August 31st, 2026. Live music and refreshment stalls will be available at The George Inn. Entries close on Saturday, August 29th, at 8pm; no entries will be accepted on the day. The race supports the Denby Village Conservation Group.
