The 3 UltraSummits TihioRace 250Km is a 250 km mountain ultra starting and finishing in Tihio, Phocis, Greece, in early June. It is designed for experienced ultra runners, featuring 14,000 m of climbing and an 80-hour time limit. The race is rated ITRA Mountain Level 10, carries Finisher level 380 status, and qualifies for Spartathlon. Entry is restricted to runners meeting an age requirement and qualifying through previous long mountain races over 100 km or ultra road races over 130 km.
The route connects three major Greek mountain areas: Vardoussia, Gkiona, and Parnassos, with athletes reaching peaks around 2,500 m. It also passes through Delphi, follows the ancient path of Kirra, and circles Lake Mornos before returning to Tihio. The format is more than a long trail race with a difficult profile; it requires runners to manage remote mountain terrain, long climbs, sleep deprivation, and changing conditions over several days. Organizers suggest it may be the toughest race in Greece, a claim supported by its statistics.
