The Half Marathon Firenze begins in Piazza Santa Croce, with the main race starting at 8:15 AM from the same square that houses the HMF Village. This 21.097 km road race takes place in Florence, open to both Italian and foreign athletes, and it brings professional runners and recreational participants together on the same city course.
The course is flat, winding through Florence’s streets and squares, and passes through the historic center before concluding in the Oltrarno district across the Arno River. Participation has increased over the years, and foreign participants must present either a national federation card or a signed medical certificate to register.
