TRIATHLON OLIMPICO DI VIVERONE

The Viverone Olympic Triathlon is an Olympic-distance event held at the Lido di Viverone in Biella, Piedmont. The lake and adjacent ponds define the course from the beginning. Typically scheduled for late May, the event also features a Cross Triathlon, offering participants a choice between the standard swim-bike-run format and an off-road alternative. The Olympic race holds Rank Silver, and the Cross Triathlon is a component of the National Circuit. The Lido serves as the central point for athlete check-in, transitions, race starts, finishes, and award ceremonies. Distinct courses are set for each of the two formats. In past years, nearly 400 athletes have competed over the weekend, assisted by over 120 volunteers. One particular edition saw temperatures exceed 32C. The event also supports the ONLUS Cosi come sei, an organization dedicated to assisting young people with eating disorders.
