The Sports Mate Run Imperial Palace Marathon follows the loop around Tokyo’s Imperial Palace, with reception near the palace clock tower in Chiyoda’s Imperial Palace Outer Garden. This is a paid morning race from the Sports Mate Run series, held regardless of weather, offering six options: parent-child 5 km, solo 5 km, 10 km, 15 km, 20 km, and a 20 km relay. The route circles the palace in central Tokyo and starts and finishes near Sakuradamon Station, about two minutes from Exit 3 on the Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line. Timed results are provided, making it useful for runners testing their fitness, but the event is also open to first-timers, children, families running together, and seniors.
