Even the shorter races are not flat: the 10km has 652m of climbing, and the 5km loop still climbs 310m, so this series suits runners who want hills rather than a fast road-style effort.

The Queenstown Marathon is a running event held annually in the Queenstown Lakes district of New Zealand. It features a 42km marathon, a 21km half marathon, a 10km race, and a 2.2km Kids Run. ASICS presents the event, offering participants a selection of distances instead of focusing solely on the full marathon. The course is largely flat, consisting of approximately 70% hard-packed trail and 30% road, distinguishing it from a traditional road marathon.
