New Zealand Sotheby’s International Queenstown Marathon 2026

The Queenstown Marathon is a running event held annually in the Queenstown Lakes district of New Zealand. It features a 42km marathon, a 21km half marathon, a 10km race, and a 2.2km Kids Run. ASICS presents the event, offering participants a selection of distances instead of focusing solely on the full marathon. The course is largely flat, consisting of approximately 70% hard-packed trail and 30% road, distinguishing it from a traditional road marathon. It crosses Millbrook Resort, Arrowtown, Lake Hayes, the Shotover River, Lake Wakatipu, and Queenstown Gardens, concluding in central Queenstown with views of the Crown and Remarkables mountain ranges.
