Brielsemeertocht

The Brielsemeertocht is a Sunday-morning road cycling tour starting from TC Barrhopoort's clubhouse on Zuider Carnisseweg in Barendrecht, located just south of Rotterdam. Participants can select either a 75 km or 125 km route, with GPX files provided for both. Registration takes place at the clubhouse prior to the start. The 75 km ride departs between 8 and 10 AM, and the 125 km ride starts earlier, between 8 and 9 AM. The tour is open to all interested cyclists. TC Barrhopoort members and riders under 18 participate for free. Both routes initially follow the Oude Maas towards Hoogvliet before diverging. The 75 km route heads towards Zuidland. The 125 km route continues through the polders to Oostvoorne, including an additional loop past the slufter depot on the Maasvlakte. The return journey follows the Brielsemeer, passes the Spijkenissebrug, and concludes by the grienden of IJsselmonde. A simple, local food stop is provided: coffee and apple pie at Visvijver Bernisse in Zwartewaal for the 75 km route, and at 't Wapen van Marion in Oostvoorne for the 125 km route.
