Centraal Beheer Midwinter Marathon 2026

The Centraal Beheer Midwinter Marathon is a winter running weekend in Apeldoorn, offering races from 500 metres and 1 kilometre for youth, up to 8 km, 16.1 km, 25 km, and a full marathon. It is the Netherlands' oldest continuously held running event, and recent editions have attracted record numbers of participants. The 8 km and 16.1 km races are open to men, women, youth, and business teams, while the 25 km race is designated for men and women. The full marathon takes a small field onto a hilly forest trail near Apeldoorn, with entries limited to 500 and a 5 hour 30 minute time limit. The woods are inhabited by red deer and wild boar; runners in the 25 km race have encountered deer on the course. The event also features a Friday Night Run, aftermovies for participants to recall the weekend, charity contributions during registration, and practical race-day provisions including public transport access, changing facilities, showers, massages, first aid, and AEDs.
