Randsfjorden rundt is a 152 km road cycling race that begins in Brandbu, Norway. It takes place in May, typically offering mild spring weather with temperatures between 10-20°C and a moderate chance of rain. This event is a long, single-day ride, distinct from short city races, and past events have attracted over 700 participants.
The course departs from Brandbu, passing through Jevnaker, and follows roads around the Randsfjorden region instead of a closed city circuit. The competition features a strong club-racing presence, with cyclists from teams including KLØFTA IL, IK HERO, Hamar Cykleklubb, Raufoss & Gjøvik SK, and Lillehammer CK often performing well. The leading men typically finish very close together after completing the entire course. Local volunteers contribute significantly to race-day operations, lending the event a character of a Norwegian club-organized cycling day alongside its competitive aspect.
