The Next Level Fitness Race combines running with functional fitness, functioning as a "full-body fitness test" rather than a standard road race. The competition moves across the track, grass, and various workout stations. It is designed for runners who appreciate structure, intensity, and the challenge of strength work following demanding runs. The format involves alternating between short running intervals and bodyweight exercises, kettlebells, dumbbells, medicine balls, and weight plates. Solo participants complete the entire event independently. Pairs run together, dividing station tasks using a "you-go-I-go" or "chipper style" approach, while relay teams of four distribute the workload. Participants include runners, individuals with gym experience, clubs, corporate groups, and friends seeking to "mix cardiovascular effort with strength work" instead of solely focusing on race times.
