At Seddon School, the Tussock Run offers a local morning feel where catching up at the finish is as much a draw as chasing a time. It is a community running and walking event and Seddon School’s major annual fundraiser, with the Awatere Valley providing an open, rural feel underfoot.
The courses start and finish at the school, heading out over rural roads and private farmland tracks instead of paved park paths. Participants include runners, walkers, families, younger athletes, and casual groups. Buggies are permitted on the shorter options but not the longest route. Back at the school, attendees will find food, entertainment, raffles, a silent auction, and prizegiving, making it a proper fundraising fun run for the school.
