Bieg o Lampke Gornicza Bieg Debiutanta

The Uliczny Bieg o Lampkę Górniczą is a street race in Konin connected to Barbórka, Poland’s miners’ holiday. It is also known as Bieg Debiutanta, and later events have used the Barbórka title directly. The “miner’s lamp” in the name provides the race its local identity, and the event’s slogan plays on that idea of light. The main run begins near the passage by the MOSiR swimming pool, with organizers maintaining a stable start and route from one edition to the next. It attracts local runners in increasing numbers, uses electronic timing, and concludes with a formal winners’ ceremony in the early afternoon. After several dozen editions, it is established as one of the region’s familiar running events, not just a one-off holiday run.
