Bieg o Srebrne Czółenko Włókniarskie is a long-running road race in Zgierz, a city in the Łódź region. Its name, the “silver weaver’s shuttle,” reflects the city’s textile history. The main event is a 10 km race for runners aged 16 and over, with a two-hour time limit and a PZLA-certified course. It is one of the oldest races in the Łódź Voivodeship, and the program typically includes shorter youth runs alongside the adult races.
The start and finish are on Wschodnia Street. Recent editions have also featured a 5 km option on city-center routes. Children’s races are kept accessible, either free or priced at a symbolic one złoty, aligning with the event’s goal of bringing together young runners, adults, clubs, and local families. The Polish Weavers Association organizes the race, with support from Time4S, the city of Zgierz, MOSiR Zgierz, and regional Voluntary Labour Brigades.
