Bieg Poznański Czerwiec '56 is a 5K and 10K race in Poznań, held as part of the city's June remembrance of the workers' uprising. It functions as both a road race and a history lesson, featuring family races, children's races, and a Memory Relay.
The course begins and ends by the Poznań June mural on the HCP grounds, then proceeds past sites connected to the protest, such as the former Hipolit Cegielski Works, Volkswagen Foundry, and Railway Rolling Stock Factory. The 10K also incorporates a five-leg Memory Relay, with each two-kilometer changeover located at a protest-related spot. Participants receive a cast commemorative medal and information about Poznań June, and the finish area includes a history zone supported by a museum. The uprising was among the first Eastern Bloc protests against communist rule after the war, so the race connects that story to the streets where it originated.
