Kobiety na 5+ is a women’s race in Jastrzębie-Zdrój, a city in Poland’s Silesian Voivodeship near Rybnik and Katowice. It takes place in May and offers participants two short-format options: a main run of just over 5 km and a Nordic Walking march over a similar distance. The event is designed for women, not a mixed field, and recent editions have attracted well over a thousand participants across the run and walk.
The course is about 5.3 km and follows the city’s main avenues, making it an urban road event rather than a trail race. The field includes runners aiming for a fast 5 km-style effort, Nordic walkers, and women participating for the group atmosphere rather than a specific time. The race is called “Kobiety na 5+,” and the organizers present it as a way to highlight women’s energy. After finishing in Jastrzębie-Zdrój, participants can explore Park Zdrojowy, the Żelazny Szlak Rowerowy, the local history museum, or try Silesian sweets like kopalnioki and homemade cake.
