Poznańska Piwna Mila is a one-mile beer run at Fort VI in Poznań, Poland, held on the first Saturday of June in a summer-evening slot. The distance is short, about 1.6 km, but the format adds the catch: runners drink four 330 ml beers while covering the mile. This is the 19th edition of the Piwna Mila, so the event has its own crowd and routine rather than feeling like a novelty race.
The route uses the grounds of Poznań’s Fort VI and is set up for cross-country running, not a flat street dash with drinks added. The field is aimed at people who want some movement, a beer-table mood, and an informal meet-up with friends or other runners. Competition is part of it, but the race is built around the pairing of a mile effort and four beers, making it closer to a running-community party than a standard road race.
