Bieg Górski Żar is a short, steep mountain race in Międzybrodzie Żywieckie, Poland, in the Beskidy mountains. The main race is about 8.6 kilometers with 650 meters of climbing, so it is much more of an uphill test than a fast road run. It is run in summer and organized by the Czernichów municipal office together with Stowarzyszenie Bajeczne Beskidy.
The route is linked to Góra Żar, with the listed start at Szczyt Góry Żar, and the race classification gives it an RMT1 mountain-running profile with a 7% average gradient. The results include age categories from junior to older masters groups, and the field is small enough to feel local while still drawing international competition: one edition listed 119 registered runners, 118 finishers, and a Kenyan winner ahead of Polish club and regional runners. The name marks it as the 26th edition, so this is not a one-off hill climb but a long-running Beskidy mountain race.
