Semi-Marathon de Gaia

The Semi-Marathon de Gaia is a road running event in Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal, offering a 10 km race and a half marathon. It takes place in late March, suitable for both novice runners and those accustomed to longer distances. The 10 km is the more frequently chosen distance, while the half marathon covers the full 21.0975 km. Both races feature single-loop road courses that include city sections and routes along the sea. The event highlights Gaia’s coastal environment, allowing participants to explore a part of the Porto district on foot. Post-race, Porto is accessible, with its bridges, historic center, Gaia's port wine cellars, the Douro River, and cultural sites like Serralves nearby.
