Achilles Charlotte 5K & Fun Run 2026

The Achilles Charlotte 5K & Fun Run begins at 8:00 AM at 2219 Tyvola Road in Charlotte. The 5K route follows tree-lined streets in Madison Park. The event emphasizes access, offering standard 5K, 1 Mile, and Kids Fun Run options, plus divisions for ambulatory athletes, handcycle athletes, pushrim athletes, duo teams, athletes with lower limb loss, mobility-impaired athletes, visually impaired athletes, and a Guided Runner Challenge 5K. The Charlotte chapter of Achilles International organizes this race to unite disabled athletes, guides, families, and local runners. Achilles International, founded in 1983, has supported over 150,000 athletes globally across various ages and abilities in endurance events. This is the first Charlotte event of its kind, highlighting its core purpose: to provide athletes with diverse abilities a functional race environment, beyond a mere symbolic gesture.
