Heatwave Half Marathon - Columbus 2026

The Heatwave Half Marathon - Columbus is a summer running event at Highland Banks Metro Park in Lewis Center, just north of Columbus. It gives runners several ways to join: half marathon, half marathon relay, 10K, 5K, 1 mile, Kids Dash, Volunteer Then Run, and a virtual race for people who cannot be there in person. The Kids Dash and 1 Mile start early, and the shorter family events sit alongside chip-timed races with live results and awards. This is built more like a family race morning than a half-marathon-only event. The Kids Dash is untimed for ages 10 and under, with a mini bib, youth shirt, and medal, while children can also run it free on race day if they skip the swag. The 1 Mile is untimed too, and half marathon, 10K, 5K, and 1 Mile entries include a custom bib, designer shirt, and finisher medal. Youth pricing is offered for ages 12 and under, and the finish-line extras include free participant photos and ice cream.
