Passion Play Trail Run 2027

Every distance at the Passion Play Trail Run sends runners through The Great Passion Play grounds in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. The Great Passion Play and I:40 Race Services organize this annual morning event on the Great Passion Play Trails, part of Northwest Arkansas’s Oz Trail System. Runners can choose a Fun Run, 5K trail race, 5-mile trail race, or half marathon, offering a range from a short road loop to a longer trail effort. The route’s most unusual feature is the setting: runners pass the Christ of the Ozarks statue and move through parts of The Holy Land Tour instead of using a standard park or road course. The Fun Run goes to the statue and loops around the grounds. The 5K was changed after runner feedback indicated the old version was too difficult; it now stays higher on the hill near the amphitheater and statue, while still crossing the Passion Play stage and passing the tabernacle. The 5-mile race begins with the same run toward the statue, then uses trails named Genesis, Holy Roller, Passover, and Revelation on an out-and-back loop.
